Meet at the library for afterschool activities

Story timeNorman Public Library Central’s slate of activities for children features a number of special weekly events offered for children of school age in the Children’s Area of the library.

September events are scheduled at these times and dates:

Sensory Story Time (ages 4 to 10) – 4 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 3

After School Special (kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grades) – Wednesdays, Oct. 4, 11, 18 and 25

Minecraft: Creative (ages 6 to 12) – 4 p.m. Fridays, Oct. 6, 13, 20 and 27

Minecraft: Survival (ages 6 to 12) – 5 p.m. Fridays, Oct. 6, 13, 20 and 27

STEAM Tweens (ages 8 to 12) – 4 p.m. Thursdays, Oct. 5 and Oct. 19

Music Connection (ages 3 to 7) – 6 p.m. Thursdays, Oct. 5, 12, 19 and 26

Sit! Stay! Read! (for age 11 and under) – 4:30 p.m. Mondays, Oct. 9 and Oct. 23

Space is limited for the Minecraft programs so registration for those is required in advance. And those wanting a timeslot for the therapy dog reading program Sit! Stay! Read! can register for a 15-minute timeslot by calling the library at 701-2630.

Registration is not required to attend any of the other activities.
