We have multiple afterschool activities for children

Kids playNorman Public Library Central presents a number of weekly themed events for school-age children, mostly taking place in the Children’s Area of the library.

November events are scheduled at these times and dates:

After School Special (kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grades) – 3:30 p.m. Wednesdays, Nov. 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29

STEAM Tweens (ages 8 to 12) – 4 p.m. Thursdays, Nov. 2, 9 and 30

Music Connection (ages 3 to 7) – 6 p.m. Thursdays, Nov. 2, 9, 16 and 30

Minecraft: Creative (ages 6 to 12) – 4 p.m. Fridays, Nov. 3 and 17

Minecraft: Survival (ages 6 to 12) – 5 p.m. Fridays, Nov. 3 and 17 (Space is limited for the Minecraft programs so registration for those is required in advance.)

Sensory Sensitive Story Time (ages 4 to 10) – 4 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 7

Sit! Stay! Read! (for age 11 and under) – 4:30 p.m. Mondays, Nov. 13 and Nov. 27. Those wanting a timeslot for the therapy dog reading program Sit! Stay! Read! can register for a 15-minute timeslot by calling the library at 701-2630.
