Great Decisions series brings range of discussion topics

FPA logoNorman Public Library Central again this year will host the Great Decisions discussion series, with talks set for 6:30 p.m. on each Tuesday evening during April.

Sponsored by the Foreign Policy Association, Great Decisions is a series of lectures and discussions about world affairs. Participants are invited to read a briefing book available from the library, watch DVD presentations and meet in a discussion group to discuss the most critical global issues facing America today.

The library will host distinguished speakers from local universities to guide the group through each of the topic discussions.

Topics and speakers for the series are:

April 3“Media and Foreign Policy,” presented by Dr. Katerina Tsetura;

April 10 – “Russia’s Foreign Policy,” presented by Dr. Melissa Stockdale;

April 17“Turkey: A Partner in Crisis,” presented by Dr. Firat Demir;

April 24“China and America: The New Geopolitical Equation,” presented by Dr. Paul Bell;

Either teens or adults may attend, and registration in advance is not required.
