Norman Public Library Central is giving would-be entrepreneurs an overview of going into business for themselves with the workshop “Starting a Small Business,” from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 1, in the Lowry Room of the library.
The activity is part of National Small Business Week and will feature two separate sessions led by the Small Business Association and multiple community partners.
The schedule includes:
Session 1, 9 a.m. to noon – Learn more about business start-up and available local resources.
Session 2, 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. – Learn how to write a business plan and seek funding.
Participants may attend one or both sessions.
Registration is required in advance, and the workshop is for ages 18 and up.
