iPad and iPhoneNorman Public Library Central is combining high-tech with a look to the past to give genealogy researchers another tool as they look back into their family history.

The library will present the program “eReader Genealogy” at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 1, in the library's Computer Training Center. Registration is required in advance.

Genealogy and Local History Librarian, Kathryn, will highlight many of the downloadable works in the library’s collection. A few of the titles, that you can download and access from anywhere, include:

Attendees then will learn how to download those free materials to their eReaders, smartphones, tablets and personal laptops. This program will be taught on multiple dates, with future presentations set for May 6 and June 3.

Those who attend should plan to bring their eReader, tablet or laptop fully charged.
