Taste Teen Books on June 2nd

Good food & good books, end with good talk.Book with chocolate, croissant, coffee and sugar

Have you ever wondered what your taste in books say about your taste in food?

For instance, do you like sweets? Perhaps then you would enjoy reading  13 Little Blue Envelopes, Angus, Thongs & Full-Frontal Snogging, or Princess Diaries?

Maybe you are into more sustaining snacky foods - like beefy jerky and trail mix? Then maybe you'd enjoy a good survivalist tale like Skylark, Shade of the Moon, The Kill Order or Ashfall.

No matter your taste food (or books), as long as you enjoy reading Teen Books - you'll want to attend the third annual “Taste of Books,” at Norman Central. Starting at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 2, in the Lowry Room. Readers of teen lit will have a chance to visit genre-themed tables set up around the room that feature not just different books but also snacks and easy recipes based upon some of the books and themes.

It’s a tasty way to start off this year’s Summer Reading Program and is offered thanks to the support of the Friends of the Norman Library.
