Black History Month celebrated at African-American Read-In

historyIf you're looking for a way to take part in Black History Month, Norman Public Library West has a great event for you to attend! Pioneer Library System’s 12th annual African-American Read-In will take place at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 14.

The event celebrates literature and the arts in the African-American community, with readings by community members and guests in the audience. Oklahoma City-based musicians Adam and Kizzie Ledbetter will return for a second consecutive year to provide a unique blend of music that will be featured throughout the presentation.

This event will also be the first chance to pick up free tickets for the annual Crowns Tea event, an event that you do not want to miss, with seatings at 1:30 and 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 28, at Norman Central library!

The program is made possible in part from a grant from the Norman Arts Council.

Registration is not required to attend the Read-In.
