Make a new furry reading buddy

ReadingDogMan's best friend can be a young reader's best friend, too. Norman Puiblic Library West hosts a weekly time for children to read to a therapy dog, with August opportunities from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursdays, Aug. 4, 11, 18 and 25.

Each week, the library will have a therapy dog in house to listen to young readers as they practice their reading skills. It's a good chance to learning readers to read to a new friend in a relaxed environment in hopes of helping them gain confidence in their reading skills.

Registration in advance is required to secure a time slot.
