Norman Public Library West invites families with young readers to a relaxing evening of reading with therapy dogs at the library. Reading sessions for January are set for 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 7, Jan. 14, Jan. 21, and Jan. 28.
Each week, the library will have a therapy dog in house to listen to young readers as they practice their reading skills. It’s a good chance to learning readers to read to a new friend in a safe and accepting environment in hopes of helping them gain confidence while developing their reading skills.
Registration in advance is required to secure a time slot. You can register by visiting the library, calling 701-2644, or filling out an application online for your preferred date(s), which can be reached through clicking the links above.
