Saxophone sounds coming to this month's Lunch and Listen concert

MusicNorman Public Library West welcomes the University of Oklahoma Saxophone Studio for the next edition of its Lunch and Listen concert series, at noon Wednesday, Sept. 28.

The featured performer will be Dr. Jonathan Nichol, Assistant Professor of Saxophone at OU. He's an active jazz musician who has performed with the likes of Phil Woods, Randy Brecker, David Liebman, the Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra, the Nelson Riddle Orchestra, the Lansing Symphony Jazz Band, the Grand Rapids Jazz Orchestra, and The Four Tops. He leads his own jazz group, the Nichol Quartet and is a member of Boyd Street Brass.

Attendees may bring their own lunch or purchase lunch from /snak/ Café, adjacent to the performance area in the library. All ages are invited to attend, and registration is not required in advance.

The series takes the place the fourth Wednesday of most months.
