Learn how a laser cutter works at teen event

STEAMPowerLogoLaser technology meets art in an offering of the Pioneer Library System's Maker Mobile, being hosted at Norman Public Library West from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1.

The event is for teens ages 12 to 17 who will design a piece to be cut on the Maker Mobile's Laser Cutter and get to that home their piece of art at the end of the program.

Participants also will get a demonstration of the Maker Mobile's three-dimensional printer, which does just what it says, designs and prints items in 3-D.

Space and supplies for the program are limited, so registration in advance is required.
