Piano concert brings in talented trio

PianoA trio of pianists will bring their talents to Norman Public Library West for a special free concert at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5.

Tim Neumark, Doug Hammer and Phillip Wesley will take turns playing pieces on the baby grand piano inside of Norman West.

Tim Neumark is a Washington, D.C.-based musician with six classical and new age solo piano albums. His 2014 album "Storm" was named Best Solo Piano Album of 2014 by One World Music and the album also was a nominee for Enlightened Piano Radio's 2014 Album of the Year.

Doug Hammer is a multi-award winning pianist and composer educated in contemporary, jazz and classical styles of music. He recently released his ninth album, "Haiku," which has reached top 10 on Amazon and iTunes. Hammer also recently performed at New York's Carnegie Hall.

Phillip Wesley's solo piano work has been released independently and used in radio, TV, film and print. He has reached No. 1 on the iTunes and Amazon "New Age" charts, and his album "Dark Night of the Soul" was rated by Reviews New Age as a top 50 New Age Album of All Time.

All ages are invited to attend, and registration is not required in advance.
