Story Times, therapy dog reading scheduled weekly

Kids in tunnelBring your youngsters to Norman Public Library West on Tuesday mornings for the library’s weekly Story Time programs, scheduled at 10 a.m. on each Tuesday of the month on Oct. 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31.

Children up to pre-K age are welcome to attend with their caregivers.

And there's a special event offered monthly, the library's Science Story Time, at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 5. This month's story is Rapunzel, with children making a pulley system to help get the character out of the tower and on to safety. Registration is required in advance for this program.

And young readers get a chance to practice their reading with a therapy dog in the library’s Sit! Stay! Read! Event, which comes to the library on Thursday evenings from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
