Monthly concert welcomes husband-wife duo

CelloNorman Public Library West welcomes the duo of Dr. Michael Geib and Meryl Geib as the featured performers at this month’s Lunch and Listen concert series, at noon Wednesday, April 25, at the library.

Dr. Geib, a double bassist, composer and pedagogue is on faculty at the University of Central Oklahoma. As a jazz musician, he has performed locally, regionally and nationally and has performed at several national festivals including Jazz in June. Currently he performs with the 5th Street Jazz Collective, the Claire Piersol Band, the Edmond Jazz Orchestra, and various other groups in the Oklahoma City metropolitan area. 

Meryl Geib is a cellist and pedagogue has maintained an active and varied career as a musician in central Oklahoma. As a performer, she has played in orchestras nationally and is a founding member of the Edmond Chamber Orchestra. She plays with Trio Antiqua and studies the baroque cello and serves as co-director of the Geib Musik Studio.

All ages are invited to attend the concert and may bring lunch or purchase lunch from Paisley Café inside the library. Advance registration is not required.

The concerts are scheduled the fourth Wednesday of most months at the library.
