Make time for midweek activities

MusicNorman Public Library West will host a series of programs for children at 10 a.m. on Wednesdays throughout June, as part of this year’s Summer Reading Program.

The activities will include:

June 6Music Around the World: Build Your Own Instruments, for ages 5 and under, with a chance to make drums, maracas, harmonicas and tambourines out of everyday household items.

June 13Musical Play Time, with multiple instruments and musical toys in the library’s story time are for children to try out in a come-and-go activity.

June 20Rockin’ Games, with ages 5 to 12 invited to paint rocks to create a tic-tac-toe game, dominoes and story stones using provided supplies.

June 27DIY Wind Chimes, with children up to age 11 using provided materials to make their own one-of-a-kind wind chime.

Except for the June 13 event, space will be limited and advance registration required for each of the programs.
