The Purcell Public Library continues to be a wealth of knowledge in providing information for members of the community researching their family history.
Library Assistant Gary Rice will be available to share his knowledge of research, as well as tips on the many resources available through the library on several dates in September. Rice sets aside time from 1 to 3 p.m. on Mondays, Sept. 14 and 28, in the Meeting Room of the library, to provide individual genealogy help. Registration is required to have a time slot to meet.
A session of genealogy help will go outside the doors of the library to the McClain County Historical Museum from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17. The museum is at 203 W. Washington St. in downtown Purcell.
