Paws to Read with dogs at the library

dogDoes your child struggle with reading in front of others? The Purcell Public Library has the perfect program for these children! Paws to Read is a special story time where your child can read to therapy dog in a non-threatening and non-judgemnetal environment.

Two friendly therapy dogs, Sadie Belle and Meika, will be available for your child to read to them at different times. Sadie Belle will available from 4:45 to 6 p.m. Tuesdays, Feb. 2 and 16, and March 1 and 22.

Meika will be at the library from 3:30 to 4:45 p.m. Fridays, Feb. 12 and Feb 26, and March 11 and 25.

Parents or caregivers can reserve a time slot for their children to read to a dog at the front desk of the library or by calling the library at 527-5546.
