Visit us after school for activities and fun

Kids byklimkinEveryday is a great day to visit the library, but in particular an afterschool stop to the Purcell Public Library on Tuesday afternoons this fall will be worth it for local children.

The library hosts weekly events throughout September, from 3:15 to 4:30 p.m. in its Meeting Room. Activities are for elementary school-age children and snacks will be provided at each event.

Themes and dates are:

Sept. 6Back to School Fun and Games, with a variety of video games, board games and card games;

Sept. 13Art Party for Kids: Painting, an introduction to using water colors and tempera paint;

Sept. 20We Do Legos, an afternoon of beginning Lego Robotics and basic programming;

Sept. 27Movies @ the Library, with featured shows rated either G or PG with movie titles available in advance by calling the library at 527-5546. Attendees can bring pillow or blanket if they wish;

Registration is not required to attend any of the programs.
