Tai Chi series set in September, October

Tai ChiThe Purcell Public Library presents another session of its popular Tai Chi series – "Tai Chi Moving for Better Balance" – again in September and October.

The free classes will be at 1 p.m. on Wednesday and Fridays, beginning on Sept. 7 and 9 and running weekly through Oct. 19 and 21, in the Meeting Room.

The goal of the classes is to improve participants' overall mind, body and spirit through a series of low-impact Tai Chi movements. New movements will be taught each session. Participants are asked to wear comfortable clothes and non-skid shoes.

The series is made possible thanks to the library's partnership with the Oklahoma Healthy Aging Initiative.

Registration is required in advance as the class size is limited.
