Thursday afternoons are all about tweens

SRP logoThe Purcell Public Library is building in many ways in its Thursday afternoon Tween events this June. Activities are planned for 2 p.m. each Thursday in June.

The programs are for ages 8 to 12. Themes for each week’s event are:

June 8 – Build a Better Garden, with participants planting a small garden they actually will take home with them;

June 15 – Build a Better World with Legos, featuring not just Legos but laptops to program Lego creations to do tasks;

June 22 – Build a Better Snack, with a visit from the Chickasaw Nation’s Get Fresh! Program to give a healthy cooking demonstration;

June 29 – Build a Better Structure with Magna Tiles, K’Nex and more, with a variety of building kits for projects;
