The Whole30 plan for eating has brought a healthier lifestyle to many who have tried it, and the Pioneer Library System will give a look into Whole30 in a summer series “Whole30 in Instant Pots or Slow Cookers” coming to the Purcell Public Library at 6 p.m. Thursday, June 28.
Back in the library for another summer of educating on healthy eating are the experts from the Food for Thought Learning Institute. They’ll share their expertise on different recipes to try and also have items on site for participants to taste-test.
The workshop specifically will focus on ways to use slow cookers or instant pots to create dishes that are healthy and easy to prepare.
This program is for ages 18 and up, and registration is required in advance to attend.
More information on the Whole30 plan is available through its website.
Sponsors for this year’s Summer Reading Program are the Anne and Henry Zarrow Foundation, Friends of the Library groups, Hitachi Computer Products of America Inc., Institute of Museum and Library Services, the Pioneer Library System, Pioneer Library System Foundation, Sonic – America’s Drive-In, Corp., the Oklahoma Department of Libraries and the Oklahoman Newspapers in Education.
