The Purcell Public Library is giving teens and adults a chance to create their own masterpiece at its Summer Reading program activity “Library Leonardos,” set for a pair of presentations.
The program will be led by Norman’s “Be Wild for Art,” and participants will go through all the steps to paint their own acrylic painting from a provided sample. Professional art instructors will lead the group, helping them in each step of the process.
All supplies will be provided and no previous skill in painting is necessary.
Each class will be capped at 20 painters so registration is required in advance to participate.
Sponsors for this year’s Summer Reading Program are the Anne and Henry Zarrow Foundation, Friends of the Library groups, Hitachi Computer Products of America Inc., Institute of Museum and Library Services, the Pioneer Library System, Pioneer Library System Foundation, Sonic – America’s Drive-In, Corp., the Oklahoma Department of Libraries and the Oklahoman Newspapers in Education.
