seedlingsWould-be gardeners can learn the first steps toward having their own garden with the Purcell Public Library workshop, “Starting a Garden,” at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 5, at the library.

Wes Lee from the McClain County OSU Extension Service will be at the library to discuss the basics for starting a new garden, literally from the ground up. Topics will include seedlings, handling transplants and raised-bed gardening, as well as time to answer questions.

The program is for ages 18 and up, and registration is not required in advance to participate.
