The Purcell Public Library is helping residents take a look back into their family histories with genealogy research resources and special programs to help families further their knowledge.

Library Assistant Gary Rice will host individual help workshops from 10 a.m. to noon on Tuesdays, March 10 and 17, in the Meeting Room of the library. It’s an opportunity for adults to come with any specific questions they have about their research and get help.

At 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 24, Rice will host an informational class on Heritage Quest, a Pioneer Library System database that features textbooks, U.S. Census information and more. It’s usable from any computer and is one of several online genealogy resources available to library cardholders. Registration is required for the Heritage Quest workshop.
