Superhero Training for children

book jacket for Captain Awesome to the Rescue by Stan KirbyCalling all superheroes for Superhero Training!  Children ages 4 - 8 can take part in training each Thursday at 2 p.m. throughout June at the Purcell Public Library. You will build your superhero identity, perform science experiments, and thank local heroes each week.

June 4 – Reactions: Create a superhero character, dissolve moon rocks, and thank police officers

June 11 – Force: Explore magnetic force, build cuffs, and thank medical personnel 

June 18 – Power: Make a shield, build an air-powered car, and thank soldiers

June 25 – Strength: Test your strength in an obstacle course, earn a superhero cape, and thank firefighters

Registration is not required, but arrive early to get a spot at the training session.
