Stories, songs and more in September

kidsThe Shawnee Public Library welcomes young children and their caregivers every day, but especially during some of the dedicated programs and activities that are just for them.

In September, activities include:

Preschool Story Time, 10 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. each Tuesday – Children, ages 3, 4 or 5, can listen to stories, rhymes, songs and take part in other activities in either a morning or afternoon program, or both.

Wiggle to the Music Story Time, 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 3 and Sept 17 – It’s a morning of creative movement activities for preschoolers, ages 2 to 5, as music will fill the air of the library’s Story Time Room.

Fabulous Fairy Tale Friday Story Time, 4:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 18 – This afterschool event is geared to slightly older children, from ages 5 to 11, and each month centers on fairy tales or folk tales from different parts of the world.

Come out with your kids to join us in these magical events!
