Whether it be for homework purposes or getting prepared for standardized test season, the Shawnee Public Library has a number of resources available to students!
Library staff will show some of those resources off in a pair of upcoming classes in the Computer Training Center of the library:
How to Write a Research Paper is scheduled at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 15. The class focus is providing information on finding reliable information, documenting and citing resources, narrowing searches and tips for the actual writing of the paper.
Learning Express, at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 29, looks at one of the library’s database options for library cardholders. The Learning Express database has resources for preparing for the GED, ACT, civil service tests and more, including practice tests.
Teens and adults are invited to both classes, and registration is required separately for each class. If you're having trouble writing that paper of yours that is due soon or you're preparing for an important exam, then you should register soon to attend!
