With getting ready for college on the horizon for high school students, one of the big tests to pass is a literal test to pass – the ACT.

The Shawnee Public Library is giving a helping hand to students with its class Get Ready for the ACT, offered at 4 p.m. Monday, Oct. 3 and a repeat of the same class at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 8.

Classes will go over Learning Express Library, a database offered for library card holders that has practice tests and resources for preparing for the ACT.

The classes are for adults to learn about the service or teens who will be taking the ACT test soon. Space is limited so registration in advance is required.
