Boost research skills with library resources

LibraryComputer jarmolukGoogle and Wikipedia may be the first places many look online for help. But there are many more positive resources available in your research efforts for an important paper or project, and there's a place to get help thanks to the Shawnee Public Library.

The library presents the class "Improve Your Research Skills," for teens or adults, at 4 p.m. Monday, Oct. 10, in the Computer Training Center.

The class looks at ways to use the Internet effectively for research and also introduces several of the online databases offered free of charge for library cardholders through the Pioneer Library System.

Space for the class is limited, so registration is required in advance.
