The holiday season can be filled with joy and family time, but also stress from the many activities and demands placed on people's time.
The Shawnee Public Library seeks to help those feeling the pinch of holiday stress at its upcoming program Have a Healthy Holiday: Taking a Timeout, at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9, in the Conference Room.
The class gives ideas for reducing stress during the holiday season. It will cover a wide range, from the important of enough exercise to simple meditation to overeating at holiday parties.
The program is for ages 18 and up, and registration is not required in advance.
