Stories focus on the value of choice

EarthIt’s an afternoon of stories with the Shawnee Public Library and the presentation Choosing Wisely: Stories for a Better World, at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 29.

Storyteller Valerie Kimble will share ancient tales about how choice can work for better or for worse, depending on the choice one makes.

Kimble has more than 30 years of experience as a storyteller and is a longtime member of the Territory Tellers of Oklahoma, the Tejas Storytelling Association and the National Storytelling Network. She lives in Norman and is employed by the Pioneer Library System as a children's librarian and storyteller.

Registration is not required to attend the program, which is geared to children but can be for all ages.
