The Shawnee Public Library is talking and teaching technology through a variety of upcoming computer classes offered by the library.
These classes are for ages 18 and up and take place in the Computer Training Center of the library. Space is limited so advance registration is required.
The schedule for October features:
Introduction to Computers, 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 17 – For new computer users, a look at basic terms and functions, including a lesson using a mouse.
Introduction to the Internet, 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 18 – Basic tips on searching the World Wide Web. For new computer users.
Introduction to Email, 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 19 – Create a free email account using one of several free services available online.
PowerPoint for Beginners, 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25 – Learn how to use the popular slideshow program for creating dynamic and informative presentations.
