November brings a busy slate of activities for kids

Boy readingThursday mornings are an extra great time to bring young children to the Shawnee Public Library for age-appropriate activities.

Beginning at 10 a.m. each week the library is open during the month, the library will present the following activities on these dates:

Nov. 2Wiggle to the Music Story Time, with music, movement and books for ages 2 to 5 and their caregivers;

Nov. 9Stress Relief Story Time, presented in partnership with the Pottawatomie County Health Department, showing the benefits of massage in children up to age 5;

Nov. 16Wiggle to the Music Story Time, with music, movement and books for ages 2 to 5 and their caregivers;

Nov. 30Time for Tots, for children age 30 months and younger, featuring play time, stories, songs and more.

And, don’t forget about Story Time, offered at 10 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. each Tuesday at the library, as well as at 10 a.m. on Wednesdays, Nov. 1, Nov. 8 and Nov. 15 at Shawnee Mall, 4901 N. Kickapoo St.
