The Shawnee Public Library presents a series of basic computer classes in an upcoming series. Classes are for ages 18 and up and will take place in the Computer Training Center of the library. Space is limited, so registration is required separately for each session.
December classes include:
Introduction to Computers, 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 12 – For new computer users, a look at basic terms and functions, including a lesson using a mouse.
Introduction to the Internet, 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 13 – Basic tips on searching the World Wide Web. For new computer users.
Introduction to Email, 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 14 – Create a free email account using one of several free services available online.
The library also presents a free class on Internet Safety at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 20, also in the CTC. Participants will learn some basics about keeping personal information secure while using the Internet.
