Explore the “Blue Zones” way to better living

JoggerStep into better health with the help of the Shawnee Public Library and its “New Year, New You!” series, debuting at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 23 with the program Healthy Living the Blue Zones Way.

The first program will include a discussion of the book “The Blue Zones: Nine Lessons for Living Longer.”

The book is written by author Dan Buettner, as are each of the books featured in the series. Future programs, dates and topics will be:

Feb. 27“Thrive: Finding Happiness the Blue Zones Way”

March 27“The Blue Zones of Happiness: Lessons from the World’s Happies People”

Registration is requested for each program.

The series is being funded through the Oklahoma Department of Libraries with funds from the Library Services Technology Act (LSTA), a Federal source of library funding provided by the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
