The Shawnee Public Library is spicing up the summer for teens with its program “Summer Salsa Secrets” at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 27, at the library.
The experts from Norman’s Food for Thought Learning Institute will return for another year of summer programs, and will bring a variety of ingredients and spices and show participants how to chop, slice and dice their own unique creation to then take home.
All supplies will be provided. Registration is required in advance, and teens age 12 to 17 are invited to participate.
Sponsors for this year’s Summer Reading Program are the Anne and Henry Zarrow Foundation, Friends of the Library groups, Hitachi Computer Products of America Inc., Institute of Museum and Library Services, the Pioneer Library System, Pioneer Library System Foundation, Sonic – America’s Drive-In, Corp., the Oklahoma Department of Libraries and the Oklahoman Newspapers in Education.
