Do you enjoy discussing about your thoughts and ideas about a book with other bookworms that have the same interest?
The Southwest Oklahoma City Public Library’s Penn Ave. Literary Society hosts its next discussion at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 10, at the library.
The group will discuss the novel “The Painted Girls” by Cathy Marie Buchanan, which is a novel set in Belle Eposque Paris, describing the lives of two young sisters after their father's sudden death. Set at a moment of profound artistic, cultural, and societal change, this tale renders two sisters to the darker impulses of "civilized society." Copies of the book are available at the library’s Information Desk, and registration is not required to attend any of the group’s talks, which generally take place on the second Thursday of the month.
The group is for ages 18 and up.
