Stories, spooks and more throughout October

playThe Southwest Oklahoma City Public Library is there for children and families with a variety of age-appropriate activities offered throughout the week at the library!

The schedule for children’s activities for October features:

Mondays at 10 and 11 a.m.Children’s Story Time and Craft, for ages 2 to 5.

Thursdays at 10 and 11 a.m.Baby Story Time and Play, for up to age 2.

Friday, Oct. 2 at 10 a.m. Sensory Story Time, for ages 2 to 6 that are sensitive to sensory overload. Registration is required for this program. 

Tuesday, Oct. 6, 4:30 p.m.Lego Quest, for ages 5 to 12.

Thursday, Oct. 8, 2 p.m. Homeschool Science, for ages 8 to 12. Registration is required for this program. 

Wednesday, Oct. 21, 10 a.m.TLC (Touch, Learn and Create), a sensory event for children ages 2-6.

Friday, Oct. 23, 5 p.m.Life-Size Candy Land for all ages!

Thursday, Oct. 29, 4:30 p.m.Halloween Spooktacular, with face painting, crafts and games for all ages.

And before and after any of the programs, families can enjoy the children’s department of the library and find a book from the Pioneer Library System’s extensive collection of materials for all ages!

Parents and caregivers should know the library is closed Monday, Oct. 12, for a staff training day, and they are encouraged to check the library schedule at to make sure about exact program dates.
