Turn everyday items into something unusual with Makey Makey technology

ideaHave you ever imagined yourself as a great inventor and been wanting to invent something but don't know what? The Southwest Oklahoma City Public Library gives teens look into inventing and creating in a new way with the program Makey Makey for Teens, at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 16, at the library.

The electronic Makey Makey touchpad kits give participants a chance to create a living circuit out of a variety of everyday items!

The activity is made possible with one of the library’s new STEAM Power Maker kits, which promote science, engineering and technology through unique learning tools.

Teens in grades 6th through 12th are invited to participate, and registration is required to attend. Come out and create something awesome with your ideas and imagination!
