Social media is a big part of marketing, but many small businesses aren't as versed as they could be in using it.
To that end, the Southwest Oklahoma City Public Library will present an Introduction to Social Media, at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 30, in Rooms A and B.
Adri Edwards-Johnson, the Pioneer Library System's Strategy and Innovation Officer, and Stephen Koranda, marketing and social media consultant, will look at five popular social media networks – Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram – and ways they can be used to help a business in its marketing efforts.
The goal of the seminar is to show the value of social media for reaching customers, members and prospects, as well as how to drive repeat business from current customers and gain new ones.
The workshop is for ages 18 and up, and registration is required in advance to attend.
