Get moving with workout series

Yoga-Mat-byJenmaThe Southwest Oklahoma City Public Library pairs reading and fitness with its weekly classes offered at the library.

The library hosts Pilates classes at 6 p.m. most Tuesdays, with classes set for each remaining Tuesday in 2016.

Participants in the workout are encouraged to bring their own exercise mat to use during the program as mats will not be provided. Each class is available for ages 12 and up. Registration is required in advance, and each participant must sign a waiver release beforehand, or for ages 12 to 17 have a form signed by a parent or guardian.

The classes are made possible through the Health Literacy Grant by the Oklahoma Department of Libraries, Oklahoma Literacy Resource Office and the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
