Make snacks more healthy with help from workshop

RecipesThe Southwest Oklahoma City Public Library presents its series on “How-to Health” with the class “Making Healthy Snacks” at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 18, in Rooms A and B.

Brenda Hill with the Cleveland County Cooperative Extension Service will give a hands-on lesson in making healthy snacks, demonstrate recipes and explain ways to make smart choices in between meals.

The workshop is for ages 12 and up and registration is encouraged in advance.

The series is made possible through the Health Literacy Grant by the Oklahoma Department of Libraries, Oklahoma Literacy Resource Office and the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
