Library, community partners present Shred Day

Shredded paperThe Southwest Oklahoma City Public Library invites members of the community to gather unwanted documents or medications to its free Shred Day and Medication Drop-Off, being hosted from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, June 22, in the parking lot of the Moore-Norman Technology Center’s South Campus, next door to the library at 13301 S. Pennsylvania Ave.

The drive-through event gives residents a chance to safely dispose of sensitive documents or outdated medications. The shredding service will be provided by Riteway Shredding.

Items that can be considered include:

Outdated tax documents, contracts, agreements or legal paperwork;

Any document containing personal information;

Bank statements, credit card bills, receipts and other old bills;

The event is sponsored by MidFirst Bank, the South Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce and the Southwest Oklahoma City Public Library.
