Tai Chi series continues at the library

The Southwest Oklahoma City Public Library is exercising mind and body through workout classes offered twice a month through July.

Tai Chi for Health will be taking place at 6 p.m. every other Monday in June and July, on June 4June 18July 9 and July 23.

These classes are for all ages but are best suited to ages 7 and up. They will teach basics of Tai Chi as a way to improve health and wellness through low-impact workouts. Chock Petchprom, a certified Tai Chi instructor, will lead the classes.

Registration is required separately for each of the classes and a waiver must be signed at the beginning of each class.

The classes are made possible through the Health Literacy Grant by the Oklahoma Department of Libraries, Oklahoma Literacy Resource Office and the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
