book jacket for Minecraft Combat HandbookThe popular online video game Minecraft is coming to the Southwest Oklahoma City Public Library as part of the library’s Minecraft Club.

Children ages 8 to 12 are invited for the club’s April meetings, at 5 and 6 p.m. on Mondays, April 6 and 20, in the Computer Training Center of the library. The library will also host a Minecraft Club for Homeschoolers, with the next sessions at 2 p.m. on Thursdays, March 26, April 9 and April 23. Space is limited so registration is required to attend each of the club meetings.

Play will take place on a closed-network server, and the library will provide access to a MinecraftEDU account for use during the program. It’s free to play, and beginners and experienced players alike are invited to attend.
