The Southwest Oklahoma City Public Library is continuing a new series for families that focuses on many aspects of parenting.
Two programs are scheduled in March: “Breastfeeding,” at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 10, and “Baby Food Basics,” at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 24, each in Rooms A and B of the library. Space is limited so registration will be required in advance for each program.
During these programs and each of the events in the series, there will be librarian-led activities for children of attendees taking place across the room, so parents will not have to worry about getting child care to attend.
Rosanne Smith of the Oklahoma Department of Health will discuss tips for successful breastfeeding in the first program. In the baby food program, representatives from Green Bambino will go over purees made at home and also baby-led weening.
