Upcycle materials into new creations

The Tecumseh Public Library is taking recycling, creativity and art and putting them all together into a pair of upcoming craft programs.

Adults will be making Rag Rugs at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8, in a program that using old t-shirts, towels, and other recycled materials provided by the library to make small space rugs. This program is for ages 18 and up.

Teens ages 12 to 17 will be crafting a Coke Can Mirror using repurposed soda cans at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9, as part of the library’s recurring series of afterschool events for teens on Wednesdays.

All supplies are provided, but registration is required to attend either of the programs.
