Book Review

Princess4HirePrincess for Hire, by Lindsey Leavitt

Do you believe that wishes can come true? Desi Bascomb longs for a bit of glamour in her life. Desi wishes that she was the kind of person who made an impact. So when she answers an ad in the paper for a princess for hire, she is whisked away via magical bubble immediately by her new agent, Meredith.

What Desi didn’t count on was that the princesses only need subs when their lives are difficult . And then there is the rule that you can only do what the princess might do. You are not to act on their behalf. Desi really doesn’t get that part at all. What do you do when an older sister puts you on a nasty crash diet or you have to perform a dance that you don’t know in an important tribal ceremony or a prince arrives to break up with the princess and you decide the princess would want you to change his mind?

Because Desi thinks outside the box she has put her new job and the job of her agent in jeopardy with the Court of Royal Appeals. Romp with Desi through her royal fiascoes and see how she learns that glamor is in the eye of the beholder.
