Hello, Visitor!

True Grit by Charles Portis is this year's Big Read title. It is a story of justice, vengence, and redemption told through the eyes of Mattie Ross. She, Rooster Cogburn, a one-eyed U.S. Marshall, and LaBoeuf, a Texas Ranger, ride into the wilderness of the Oklahoma Territory to find the man who murdered her father.

Several True Grit events, book discussions, and Little Read activities for children will be held at hometown libraries this month. See the Big Read Event Calendar for dates and times.
