ACT Now for College


The ACT test is required to attend many colleges & universities within the United States. According to the ACT website, "A student may take the ACT no more than twelve (12) times total & only once per national test date." In fact many students take the exam more than once.

So the question is: Have you signed up for the ACT yet? Here are the registration & test dates for the 2010 fall/winter season.

August 25, 3:30 p.m., come to the Blanchard Public Library & learn about our online tutors. They are available 7 days a week, from 2:00 - 10:00.

A message the Newcastle Public Library:

We had a great summer here in Newcastle. I enjoyed seeing all the new and familiar faces at the programs. Keep up the reading. We are winding down from all the excitement.

Come September we will be in full swing with gaming programs and crafts programs. If you need to brush up on your academic skills before schools starts or practice taking the ACT try learning express on our research databases. Do you have one last road trip planned? Don’t forget to take an audio book with you we also have downloadable audio books available for you listening pleasure.



August 19, 5 p.m., come to the Moore Public Library for a Teen Book Discussion!

Come enjoy some lively discussion about the book Tangerine, by Edward Bloor. You can pick a copy up at the library before the discussion and have the book read before we meet in order to join in. Fun and snacks will be enjoyed by all. Ages thirteen and older.

Join us at the Purcell Public Library on August 19, at 4:15 p.m., for the Teen Gaming Day.

Play Wii and Playstation 2, Guitar Hero, Karaoke, DDR, Sports and more. Bring your friends, it's always a lot of fun. Snacks will be provided.

With summer almost over, teens can "rock" into the school year watching one of their favorite rockin' movies. Just like movie theaters, the library has a big screen and movie-style popcorn.

So come to the Shawnee Public Library on August 11, at 2 p.m., for some great flicks!

On August 26, at the Tecumseh Public Library, learn how about our free online tutors.

You'll learn how to access our wonderful online homework help program. Whether you are in elementary school or in college, Brainfuse HelpNow tutors are available via your library. Registration is required.
